With a heavy heart I have to report that we are having to cancel the 2012 For Our Boys calendar project. I realize that times are tough for many folks finacially these days. Hopefully we will be able to pick the project up again for the following year. Thank you for all of your support and willingness to participate, I know that so many of you ladies were wanting to be in the calendar.

2012 For Our Boys Calendar to Benefit Homes For Our Troops

Back by popular demand, Dixie Pin Up is producing our second “For Our Boys” calendar. This year’s calendar will be benefiting Homes For Our Troops; an organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured soldiers, at no cost to them and their families. Our 2010 calendar took us by surprise with the overwhelming responses of media coverage and sales across the country and internationally. What started out as a small project to raise a little money for a great cause grew into sales of over 1,000 calendars and over $6,100 raised to donate. The calendar was purchased and enjoyed by all ages. From the young man just starting out his military career to WWII and Vietnam vets, everyone seemed to embrace the spirit of raising money for a good cause.

We prided ourselves on the tasteful balance we were able to create and the women who were chosen as our calendar girls. Media coverage such as the Bayonet, a Ft. Benning, GA newspaper, Army.mil and Military.com was crucial to our success in sales. We are looking to have that coverage and more again this year to help us raise as much money as possible and awareness for Homes For Our Troops.

Not knowing how well received our calendar would be, we were asking for small donations in order to cover our printing costs; as the project progressed so did the time and money spent. We were forced to cover production costs from partial proceeds of the calendars sold only allowing us to donate half. This year, our goal is to raise all the production costs up front so that we are able to produce the same stunning product but in the end be able to donate 100% of the proceeds to HFOT. We are hoping by doing this we will be able to more than triple our donation!

We hope that you may find it in your heart to help us reach our goal of donating an estimated $18,000 to Homes For Our Troops. We know that times have been tough these last few years for many people, but in the end your small but crucial sponsorship will help build a home and a life for a soldier who nearly gave their life for us!

Dixie Pin-Up Launches Pin-Up Calendar for Wounded Warrior Project!

We're so excited to announce the completion of our project to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project! The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors. Furthermore, their key purpose is to:

To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women,
To help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and
To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.

Dixie Pin-Up has produced a classic pin-up calendar, featuring current military wives on classic military aircraft and other assorted vehicles. Dixie Pin Up handled the styling, photography and designing of the actual calendar. The finished calendar will cost $25, which includes shipping and handling. $10 will go directly to the WWP, $5 will go towards printing addtional copies, and $5 will go towards operational costs.
